The problem
Your IT team is a human router.
Most internal support is the same handful of questions and access requests, passed between Slack, forms, and inboxes until someone finally acts on it.
The same five questions, every day
Password resets, VPN, “how do I get…”. Tier-1 noise buries the work your team was hired for.
Access takes days, not minutes
Requests bounce between DMs, forms, and approvers who never saw the ping.
Nobody removes access later
Temporary access becomes permanent, and the audit turns into a week of spreadsheet archaeology.
The product
One assistant for employees. One service desk for IT.
Opstera handles the front door in Slack and gives your team a complete service desk behind it.
AI assistant
Answers that actually resolve the issue
Employees ask in Slack or on the web. Opstera answers from your own runbooks, keeps the conversation going through follow-ups, and only opens a ticket when a human is needed.
- Grounded in your knowledge base, with the source cited
- Multi-turn troubleshooting, not keyword-matched canned replies
- Hands off to the right queue with the full context attached

That's usually the hotel's sign-in page blocking the tunnel. Try this:
- Disconnect the VPN and open any website to accept the hotel terms.
- Reconnect using the "TCP 443" profile.

Access requests
Approved in minutes. Revoked on schedule.
Ask for an app in plain English. Opstera works out the approvers, collects decisions in Slack, provisions through your directory, and removes access when it expires.
- Manager, app-owner, and group approval chains
- Time-bound grants with expiry reminders and automatic revocation
- Provisioning into Okta, Entra ID, and Google Workspace groups
- Periodic access reviews that managers complete from a DM

How it works
Live in days, not quarters.
No consultants and no six-week implementation. Connect what you already use and start from templates.
- 01
Connect Slack and your directory
Install the Slack app and connect Okta, Entra ID, or Google Workspace. People, managers, and groups sync automatically.
- 02
Start from templates
Pick request types, approval rules, and SLAs from ready-made templates, then tune them without code.
- 03
Employees just ask
No portal to learn and no form to hunt for. If your team can send a message, they can use Opstera.

Security
Auditor-friendly. IT-approved. Enterprise-ready.
Opstera is built around the access controls your security team and auditors already ask for.
A dedicated instance per customer
Your own application and database. Your data is never pooled with another company’s.
Segregation of duties
Requesters can never approve their own access, and only designated approvers can decide. Admin overrides are flagged in the audit trail.
Complete audit trail
Every request, approval, grant, and revocation is recorded with who and when, and exports to CSV for your auditors.
Encrypted credentials
Directory credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and never shown again after they’re saved.
SSO from day one
Sign in with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or Google. Role-based access separates employees, agents, and admins.
Verified Slack traffic
Every Slack request is signature-verified, replay-protected, and processed exactly once.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do employees need to learn a new tool?
No. Employees message Opstera in Slack, and every update about their request threads back to the same conversation. There’s also a simple web portal for anyone who prefers it.
Which directories do you support?
Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace. Opstera reads people, managers, and groups from them, and can add and remove members from groups to provision access.
Where is our data stored?
Each customer gets a dedicated Opstera instance with its own database. Your tickets, knowledge, and audit history are never shared with another customer’s.
Can the AI assistant see or change things it shouldn’t?
No. The assistant answers from your knowledge base and acts through tools scoped to the person asking, so it can only see and request what they could themselves. Access still goes through your approval rules.
Can we replace our current help desk?
Yes. Opstera is a complete service desk with queues, SLAs, workflows, change management, and reporting. Many teams start with access requests and expand from there.
How long does setup take?
Most of the work is connecting Slack and your directory, which takes an afternoon. Templates cover the common request types, so you can go live within days.
